The 25th National Environmental Conference at Tar Creek will be an important marker in the history of LEAD Agency and the work done to clean the environment in Ottawa County.

 

Hear updates from multiple city, tribal, state, and federal agencies on their work, research in the fields related to our restoration, and personal stories from those working and retired in the area. This conference covers so many interests and areas of the county, from Picher’s mining effects to how Miami is fighting flooding and working on the former Goodrich plant.

 

This 25th Conference will also include good food, a toxic tour of the area, and art from local students and adults. The conference will span October 10-12 at NEO A&M College, with additional off-site events to be announced.
